So Monday night around 2:45 am Ethan woke up crying. He is continuing to get his 2 year molars (1 down, 3 to go!) so it's not unusual for him to wake up in the middle of the night. I usually just walk into his room, pat his back and he lays back down and goes to sleep. For some reason I didn't close the door that separates our rooms after that. I wanted to make sure he fell back asleep. He wasn't crying anymore, but I kept hearing him moving around. I just figured he couldn't get comfortable. Well, about 15 mins later, I hear a huge THUD! I ran into his room, yelling at Josh to come, and sure enough...Ethan had fallen out of his crib! He was laying flat on his stomach on the floor! He didn't really cry, but he was shaking. I rocked with him for a couple minutes and he looked at me and said "Mommy, BIG BOOM!" I couldn't help but laugh at that. How in the world did he get out of his bed? We have yet to figure that out. I really don't think he was awake enough to have been trying to climb out. I think he honestly just "fell" over! Josh is hoping he doesn't start to sleepwalk like I used to! So, I couldn't just put him back in his bed knowing he could fall out again, so I had Josh go out to the garage and get his tools to lower the bed to the lowest setting. (We had it on the second to lowest) Hopefully this will keep him in his crib now, or else we'll be looking into a big boy bed very soon! So here are the pictures I took to capture our 3 am fun!! Enjoy :)
Does this look like a little boy who is ready to go back to sleep??
