"Fun" at 3 am!

So Monday night around 2:45 am Ethan woke up crying. He is continuing to get his 2 year molars (1 down, 3 to go!) so it's not unusual for him to wake up in the middle of the night. I usually just walk into his room, pat his back and he lays back down and goes to sleep. For some reason I didn't close the door that separates our rooms after that. I wanted to make sure he fell back asleep. He wasn't crying anymore, but I kept hearing him moving around. I just figured he couldn't get comfortable. Well, about 15 mins later, I hear a huge THUD! I ran into his room, yelling at Josh to come, and sure enough...Ethan had fallen out of his crib! He was laying flat on his stomach on the floor! He didn't really cry, but he was shaking. I rocked with him for a couple minutes and he looked at me and said "Mommy, BIG BOOM!" I couldn't help but laugh at that. How in the world did he get out of his bed? We have yet to figure that out. I really don't think he was awake enough to have been trying to climb out. I think he honestly just "fell" over! Josh is hoping he doesn't start to sleepwalk like I used to! So, I couldn't just put him back in his bed knowing he could fall out again, so I had Josh go out to the garage and get his tools to lower the bed to the lowest setting. (We had it on the second to lowest) Hopefully this will keep him in his crib now, or else we'll be looking into a big boy bed very soon! So here are the pictures I took to capture our 3 am fun!! Enjoy :)

Does this look like a little boy who is ready to go back to sleep??

Random

Everyday Ethan is learning new words, phrases, letters and numbers. It's funny because he will spell his name E-T-H-A-N, and then he'll say "EB"! I think that nickname is going to be around for awhile. He also is finding the letter E everywhere. He points it out on people's clothing, in stores, in books, on signs, you name it! Here are a few random pictures I've taken the past month or so...Enjoy!

Lifting up the shirt, showing off his belly :)

Peek! Hiding behind the shower curtain...

Action shot with the football!

This pic was taken back in August. We turned around, and Ethan had climbed up on Kale's bicycle all by himself! What a big boy!

Andrew and Laura's wedding!

Yesterday our friends Andrew and Laura were married. We are so excited for them as they begin their lives together! Here are a few pics from the day. Make sure you view the video at the very end of Ethan dancing....priceless!!

Josh and Ethan before the ceremony...Ethan cheezin' it up as usual :)

Blowing bubbles

This is the last good picture I got of Ethan before he ruined his shirt at the reception with orange Skittle juice :)

Mr. and Mrs. Hartle!!

Entering the reception...

I was bummed I forgot my camera during the wedding ceremony, but I tried to get a good picture of the entire wedding party at the reception. There were 22 in all, 11 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen! They looked like a choir up on the church stage risors!

I tried to get a good family pic before Ethan ruined his dress shirt, but what can you expect from a two-year old and the color white?!?

These last pictures are of Ethan and his buddy Jackson dancing...

This video is pretty dark, but right above where the boys are dancing is a video of the bride and groom being played. So all 300+ people at the reception are watching these two little boys in the corner dancing (or should I say flailing) away! It was so funny!

chuch and bedtime...

Here are some random pics I've taken lately. The first few were before church on Sunday morning, and the others were taken before bedtime last week. Josh and I are enjoying Ethan even more as each day passes. He is talking more every day and it's amazing to see how he is processing everything. His laugh is so infectious :) We are so blessed to be his parents!

Cheezin' it up!

A few water spots on his shirt from the hair-do :)

Watching our new screen-saver on the computer...it plays through all of the pictures and videos we have on file. He loves to watch himself :)

Reading the Bible with daddy. I need to get it on video because he finishes every sentence. He loves reading with his daddy, and I have to admit, I love it too :)

His little "bogie" as my grandpa always used to say.

Jumping on the bean bag...
