These are a few pics I took right before bedtime tonight. (He watched a little bit of David and Goliath from Baby Faith) We have a pretty routine bedtime. Normally, the minute Josh walks in the door from work Ethan is jumping up and down so excited he can't take it and says "Daddy, Daddy! A bath, a bath!!" We have to kindly remind him that we'll take one later, after we've eaten dinner and played for awhile. He LOVES bathtime with daddy! They play and splash forever. After the bath, we read lots of books. His favorites are definitely his Bible (and he proudly knows where daddy and mommy's Bible are too!), an ABC book, the "Elmo" book of songs, and a nursery rhyme book. His favorite songs to sing lately are The Itsy Bitsy Spider (I NEED to get it on video...it's so cute to see him doing the motions), Row Row Row Your Boat, Jesus Loves Me, and Old McDonald Had a Farm. He strings them all together sometimes into one big song...it's so funny. He says "Row, row, row....E-I-E-I-O....Itsy Bitsy....and Love (for Jesus Loves Me)" practically all in one breath like he's in a race. We are enjoying Ethan so much. This season of his life (and ours) is such a blessing. We are marveling in every new accomplishment and each new word that's spoken. And to finish the evening off, he always wants mommy to take him to bed, and as I'm walking up the stairs he puts his head on my shoulder and pats my back. I turn his music on, and then I pray with him. He waits until I say "Amen", repeats it, and then kisses me goodnight and I get to tuck him in. I love our bedtime routine!
