What a trooper!

I haven't updated as quickly as I would have liked to, but I thought for those of you who didn't know, I would post about Amaya's leg. She fell at the park 3 weeks ago, and I really didn't think much of it. She cried, but as with other falls it didn't seem like anything major. My family was coming that weekend and I was so excited for them to see her walking, as they hadn't yet. I was a little bummed when she was very hestitant. She didn't want to walk. At first I thought it was her shy nature coming out. But by that Sunday, Josh and I realized she was definitely favoring her right leg and was limping. We gave it a few days, but when she got to the point she didn't want to walk at all and went back to fully scooting or crawling, we knew we needed to take her in. We went to the Children's Hospital in Akron and after several x-rays, they ruled out any breaks. They said she must have sprained it badly and in a day or so she should be walking fine. After giving it yet another week, we knew something was still wrong. She would cry every time I touched her leg - when I was changing her clothes or her diaper. We took her back and this time they x-rayed higher on her leg and found a greenstick fracture on her fibula. Poor baby! So they put a cast (pretty pink as you can see!) on and she is doing well. It took her a good week to figure out how to get around, but now she is walking fairly well and is climbing again. She is scheduled to get the cast off Monday the 21st. Thanks for all of your prayers! She is pretty cute in pink :)
