18 month checkup

I apologize for the lack of pics lately. We have been so busy, but I promise I'll post some as soon as I can. For now though, I want to quickly update you on Ethan's 18 month check-up. If you remember, the last well visit we had, Ethan wasn't even on the charts for his weight. He was actually a -12% (if that's possible!) As of yesterday, he is now 12% in the positive!!! He's on the charts folks!! He gained 24% points since his last visit. The doctor kept checking and rechecking her graph to make sure she was right. She couldn't believe how much he's grown! Yea!! He's also in the 12% for his height. We just feel so incredibly blessed! She also told us there is no need to follow up with his pediatric cardiologist or optholomologist either. Praise God! His next well visit isn't until he is 2, but she said she'd like me to bring him in after the first of the year just to do another weight check, so she can record it! She was so amazed. I think this was our first EVER good check-up!!

good news!

Thank you all for your prayers today. All in all, Ethan did very well during his appointment. He is such a good little boy and such a trooper! We found out that he is not allergic to ANY foods! (Go figure!) Though this truly surprised us, the doctor said he could very well have had an allergy to dairy and grown out of it. The other "reactions" he's had to other foods the doctor feels is unrelated to allergies. Long story short, we are going to begin introducing dairy back into his diet slowly, one item a week or so, and see how it goes. If he has any more problems, we'll just take him back off and try again in 3-6 months. I'm too tired to write more, but thank you all so much for the outpouring of love you have shown us. We truly feel blessed!

more testing

We go to Columbus tomorrow for Ethan's allergy testing. It's going to be a three hour appointment, and I'm sure for all of us it will seem much longer than that. Ethan doesn't do well at doctor's appointments because he remembers too well all of his unpleasant experiences in his short little life. Please pray that the appointment goes smoothly and that we are able to gain some answers regarding what foods he is able/unable to eat. I'll be sure to update you as soon as I can. We love you all and appreciate your prayers!

reading my Bible!

Ethan loves carrying around his Bible (I think partially because it has a handle and it's "fun" to carry!) We read that book more than any other with him. What a blessing to read God's Word every day to such an impressionable little boy. I pray that he is soaking up every word! There can't be any other moment captured for me that means more than to see my boy reading the Word, other than maybe with his daddy :)

anna!

Stephanie and Anna were up from Florida a few weeks ago and I realized I forgot to post these pics! They came over one afternoon and I believe the kids had a good time together! lol.

Oh no....not already!

They took turns pushing each other on the truck...

Then they both tried getting on together...so funny! Steph and Anna (and Dan!) we miss you already!

kale's 3rd birthday!

Isn't that the cutest lion you've ever seen??

Stacy did an amazing job on Kale's cake!

Did I mention that Kale's birthday party was a costume party? Even grandma and grandpa Fisher dressed for the occasion :)

Can you guess who Josh and I went as??

Stacy, me, and Ali

Travis and Josh (or Jim Tressel)

Uncle Trav and Ethan...and Ethan's not crying!!! (Ethan's usually not too sure about Uncle Travis, so I had to document the moment!)

The Timmons family

The three cousins!

Look at all the goodies!

Blowing out the candle...

The Indian, Sarah Palin, Jim Tressel, the lion, Wendy, and the shark who took his costume off! (Ethan looks a little dazed in this picture!)

The grandparents

Happy 3rd Birthday Kale!!! We love you!!
